Our Story
S. Scott Alcius
Founder, Truth Lounge
More Than a Venue. A Destination.
In the heart of Fort Lauderdale, Truth Lounge is an immersive entertainment space designed to bring people together through music, culture, celebration, and unforgettable experiences.
The venue features a large central dance floor, professional performance stage, premium VIP areas, multiple bar experiences, state-of-the-art lighting, and flexible event spaces capable of hosting everything from intimate celebrations to large-scale concerts and cultural festivals.
Whether you're attending a live performance, celebrating a milestone, hosting a private event, or experiencing Fort Lauderdale nightlife at its highest level, Truth Lounge was designed to deliver an elevated hospitality experience that blends Caribbean culture, modern entertainment, and world-class service into one destination.
Some inherit a name. S. Scott Alcius inherited a year. Of Haitian descent, he is heir to the spirit of 1804 — the year his ancestors won the only successful revolution of the enslaved and founded the first free Black republic. That inheritance isn't decoration. It's a way of building.
By trade and temperament, Scott is a builder. He founded Truth Lounge & Nightclub in South Florida — turning a room into a destination — and has gone on to build a portfolio of ventures, translating instinct into institutions. An MBA sharpened the discipline; the vision was always his own.
Truth Lounge Fort Lauderdale is that vision made real: the energy, the music, and the hospitality that made it a landmark — Konpa, Gouyad, Afrobeats, Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Latin, and Dancehall, a Caribbean kitchen, and a room built to bring people together.
More than a nightclub, it's a community hub — a place to connect, celebrate, and create memories that last. That's the Truth Lounge difference.
A room is just a room until someone builds a destination out of it.
